This is a Tribute

Robert (Bob) Emrie

Bob truly loved his family and friends and none were prepared for him to leave so quickly; but can be comforted that he had a good life, accomplished much, and gave to the betterment of others. All will miss his chuckle, wit, and companionship.

In 1964, Bob joined Western Filter Company of Denver, Colorado; manufacturers of water treating equipment. Bob formed Western Pollution Control as a subsidiary of Western Filter. He later went to work with Enviroquip of Austin, Texas.

Bob was made a Mason at Fargo Masonic Lodge #300 in Liberal, Kansas on November 22, 1949. He was soon raised to Master Mason on February 6, 1950. He created a Shriner on June 1, 1968 at El Jabel in Denver, Colorado. Bob is Past Master of Parsons #222 Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite, the York Rite, Ben Hur Shrine, and Royal Order of Jesters. He served as Potentate of Ben Hur in 1992, was Director of the Jesters in 1985, and President of the Jesters of Texas in 1996. He served on the Board of Governors of the Shrine Burn Institute in Galveston, Texas for almost a decade. Serving as Board Chairman in 1996. He made lasting friendships in fraternal activities spanning over half a century.

Bob was a good and honest man, remaining true to his values throughout life. One of the principles he held true to his heart is memorialized on many Shriner Children treatment centers, “No Man Stands So Tall As When He Stoops To Help A Child.”
